The new 2021 Volkswagen Atlas unveiled in Chicago

The new 2021 Volkswagen Atlas is scheduled to arrive on the market in a few months and it was recently unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show. Although we still recognize the overall design of the three-row Volkswagen SUV, there are some significant changes.

The 2021 Atlas gets a new grille with the redesigned Volkswagen logo as well as more rounded overall design. The front end has been most significantly redesigned. There are three wheels available in 18, 20, and 21-inch designs. Inside, there’s a new steering wheel with the Volkswagen redesigned logo as well, and the centre 8-inch touchscreen has been made available on more versions.

The biggest change is under the hood, however. The 2021 Atlas will be available with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 235 horsepower or a 3.6-litre V6 making 276 horsepower. That’s no different from the current Atlas, but now the entry-level engine will be available with 4Motion all-wheel drive which wasn’t the case in 2019.
